The following are the purposes for which this organization has been organized:

Plastic debris that float in the ocean end up on the beaches all over the world

Plastic debris that float in the ocean end up on the beaches all around the world. “Treasure the World” can clean the beaches of Cozumel and maintain on a weekly basis the shores. After the cleanup of every section of beach, plastic objects are selected and transformed into art objects sold to the tourists. Also solicitation and recruitment of members are used to finance in part the costs involved in this venture. Also environmental groups will be approached for financing. The plastic not used for transformation are then be given to official government resources and recycled. The beaches of Mexico, Cozumel to be precise, will be the focus of this project. The intentions are to provide a weekly clean up of all beaches. There is already in the U.S. and other countries in the world a day that is used by volunteers to clean up the shores of some beaches all over the world. One day is not enough. Our goal is to keep a close watch, a weekly round of the beaches and pick up debris as it arrives from the sea, furthermore the non accessible beaches that are not possible to clean by road are to be dealt with, by marine transportation.

The plan consists in implementing a group of people that would be self sufficient in financing their activities. By making art/souvenirs with the debris that is selected. Selling the art/debris and solicitating tourists and local people can become members with a five dollars donation while providing funding.  Therefore giving employment to local communities. Choosing the sites for the information/transformation/booth are chosen by the amount of population and touristic attractions.
